Aimee is a licensed clinical social worker and psychotherapist with over 25 years experience working with children, adolescents, adults and families with a range of developmental, health related, and psychiatric disorders. She is experienced in working with people from a very wide range of cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds, sexual orientations, and gender identities. Aimee is grounded in developmental, cognitive-behavioral, and systems theories, her approach is client-centered, practical and strengths-based. She uses motivational interviewing (MI), mindfulness, ABBT, relaxation/stress reduction, and skill building techniques as well as exploring insight oriented, relational and internal family systems (IFS) approaches. She strives to work in culturally competent ways and has special interest in young adults and BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Color) populations.
